Some important changes on Codenga

Since the very beginning, we’ve been constantly making changes and improvements here at Codenga, in order to give you our best and fulfill (and hopefully exceed!) your expectations. Many of those changes have been made thanks to your feedback and ideas :) Here you can read more about some new changes introduced recently to Codenga.

TrueCode - exercises you can solve however you want

Programming at its core is the art of problem solving. That’s why it’s very important to cultivate this skill. That is exactly what TrueCode is here for! Thanks to the new type of exercise - TrueCode - you can now solve a variation of different programming problems on your own - no holding hands anymore.

The only thing that matters is the result, how you get there is none of anybody’s business - that’s one way to describe TrueCode. In exercises like this, you have to write working code based on an algorithm or a block diagram given.

In the new TrueCode problems we don't check for correct syntax or the details of the implementation. The only thing that matters is for the algorithms to work as specified. These kinds of tasks are supposed to help develop creative thinking and problem solving in the context of programming.

Right now you can check out our course: Python - Practice Challenges, in which you can find 16 various TrueCode exercises. More courses on other languages are coming soon :)

The list of owned courses just got some improvements

Let's be honest here, the owned-courses list we had so far wasn’t the most functional thing. Especially when larger amounts of courses were involved. So - a few changes have been made.

We've added paging and a search option to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for. The way course boxes look and work has also seen some modifications. We hope you enjoy the changes.

Better way to organize Career Paths

Another pretty important change is the addition of automatic grouping for owned courses that are a part of the same Career Path. The so-far existing approach to the subject luckily is no more. Starting today, all courses that belong to a Path will be grouped into one, tidy list when viewing owned products. This will allow you to see what order to take the courses in and to easily track your progress.

Font size that suits your needs, in a new iteration of our editor

And last but not least, a small but vital to some improvement. Now you have the option to easily change the size of the text in the code editor. Doesn't seem like much, but it’s a matter of accessibility that we hope to be improved now. You will now be able to match the text to your taste :)

We haven’t said the last word yet

All of the things mentioned in the article had been suggested by the community of users. As you can see, your voice matters to us and we take your input into consideration in order to try and make Codenga be a better fit for your needs. More cool stuff incoming soon!
